"Adoption Detective" will be released August 2011.

Judith Romano is a plucky Midwestern orphan who faces adversity and steadfastly refuses to back down until she has accomplished her goal of finding her birthparents. It is impossible to put this book down before it is finished—other adoptees will be greatly inspired to find their own roots.

"This story could Change Your Life!"  Judith Land. Check out my website.

I am a doctoral student in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am doing research on how adoptive parents talked to their children about adoption, and I’m looking for people who would be interested in filling out a survey for me. If you are an adult adoptee, would you be willing to fill out this online survey?

Laura, a white South African, is the mother of two boys (her biological sons) and Megan, her black adopted daughter. I asked her about the challenges of raising a black child in a white family. Her response was so moving I had to share her words. Read more on Transracial Adoption: Thoughts of a South African Adoptive Mom

Welcome Michelle to Adoptee's Anchor! Thanks for sharing your adoption story and we hope to hear more about your experience as an adoptee in open adoption. And God bless you as you navigate becoming a prospective adoptive parent. You will have much love, understanding and sensitivity to offer an adopted child you welcome into your family!
Thanks again for posting! Jody, adoptee

Hello everyone, I just joined. My name is Michelle and I was raised in an Open adoption. I was born in 1982 when most adoptions were closed, but now my husband and I are planning to adopt so I am wanting to tell everyone about open adoption and my experiences growing up.

Hello, Just wondered if you know any adult Hong Kong or Chinese adoptees and orphans? We are organising a reunion in Sept in Hong Kong. www.caawr.com

Hi Larry! Glad you joined us here! No, I am truly not enjoying these frigid temps. Seems the older I get, the colder it feels- Think Scott and I may become "Snowbirds" in the winter when we retire following my adoptive parents to Florida or some warm place!
