Angela Krueger is the Adoptions Feature Writer for suite101.com and she contacted me a couple of months ago with the interest in reviewing my book series. Who would I be to say no??!! So, of course, I said yes to having a review written, starting with the premier book in the series, Why Can't You Look Like Me, introducing it to the vast amount of readers who view suite101.com's site.Click on the link to read the review: http://adoption.suite101.com/article.cfm/review_why_cant_you_look_l...

My name is Ola Zuri and I would like to introduce you to a new children’s book series that will help to solve a problem. Recently published, Where Do I Belong?, is the second book in the series with topics relating to transracial adoption, foster care, racism, fitting in, questions about family, racial identity, and most of all, self esteem and self confidence. The inspiration for these stories has stemmed from my own personal experiences as a transracial adoptee and the various areas of difficulty that have been discussed with me by other adoptees, adoptive parents and birth parents. Ever heard of the Jane Brown Playshops? I'm starting something similar & would like input from parents about the type of things you think would be beneficial to your child(ren) Please contact me with any ideas of what you would want your child(ren) to get out of attending - specific topics/themes to cover anything that you would like to see happen - comment or send a message thanks!

Hi, My husband and I have a 4 1/2 year old. He was placed with us when he was 16 months old and we finalized his adoption 10 months latter. We are in the process of adopting a 2 year old girl that should be coming home on Tuesday. Both came to us through foster care. My husband is also adopted.

Hello. My husband and I and eagerly awaiting a finalization date for our 6 month old son. Would love to hear from other adoptive families. Our story is, as I am sure most of them are!, very complicated. We feel gloriously blessed to be where we are!

Hi.

My husband and I adopted our son just over one year ago. He was three months old when he was first place with us, and he's almost 3 now. I just love to share our story! =-)
