We did a vendor fair to raise money.  We had 25 vendors who paid $40 per booth which got them two tables.  They ranged from Pampered Chef to local artists.  We advertised in the local paper and created an event on facebook.  We asked the banquet hall to give us a deal since they didn't have to do any work and asked vendors and people we knew for donations for a raffle.  We also put out donation jars next to the box for a door prize.  When all was said and done we cleared just over $5000.

We had a silent auction at our church this past weekend. We made $1628 in 3 hours!!!! I never thought it would go so well. So in the fall we are looking to have a sausage sale. The church is really into their BBQ sales but that's the mens fundraiser. Wish us luck!!!

Hi Alissa,
I have had many people tell me that it was tacky and that if I wanted children I needed to pay for it myself...then they would continue on to say we have to pay to have our own children. Then there are others that have the complete opposite reaction and think that it is a wonderful idea.
We did a Halloween party as a fundraiser...it was $20 per person to come and we had a silent auction at the party we ended up raising close to $4000 after all the expenses.

We just began the process, and I have been researching fundraising ideas. I've had several people look at me like I'm crazy when I bring up the idea. (like it's tacky) Anyone had any experiences like this? Now I have a conscience that people think I'm being tacky trying to raise money for our adoption. :S Thank you for any feedback!

So we just had a garage sale where our friends and family donated the goods. Not only did we make over $800 we were featured on our local news! Check it out!
