It's great to find a group specific to Canadians here.  I am the mom of seven, five of whom are adopted and I run an online adoption resource for Canadians called Adoption Magazine.  I hope that some of you will stop by and say hello!

If you're looking for province/territory specific information about adoption in Canada, check out: adoptiveparents.ca
This web site is a huge adoption resource guide for Canadians. There's also a message forum, a calendar for adoption events in Canada, a parent profile registry and more!

Angela Krueger is the Adoptions Feature Writer for suite101.com and she contacted me a couple of months ago with the interest in reviewing my book series. Who would I be to say no??!! So, of course, I said yes to having a review written, starting with the premier book in the series, Why Can't You Look Like Me, introducing it to the vast amount of readers who view suite101.com's site.Click on the link to read the review: http://adoption.suite101.com/article.cfm/review_why_cant_you_look_l...

My name is Ola Zuri and I would like to introduce you to a new children’s book series that will help to solve a problem. Recently published, Where Do I Belong?, is the second book in the series with topics relating to transracial adoption, foster care, racism, fitting in, questions about family, racial identity, and most of all, self esteem and self confidence. The inspiration for these stories has stemmed from my own personal experiences as a transracial adoptee and the various areas of difficulty that have been discussed with me by other adoptees, adoptive parents and birth parents. Check out my blog at www.blackoasisent.blogspot.com

Just wanted to let my fellow Canadians know about a new adoption site I recently launched: Adoptiveparents.ca.

Adoptiveparents.ca is a resource guide and online community for Canadians whose lives have, or will be touched by adoption. Adoption is a provincially mandated issue in Canada. As such, adoptiveparents.ca has been designed to provide province specific information outlining the processess, laws and guidelines, and the types of adoption available to each province and territory's residents. There's also a general adoption information section called "Adoption 101" as well as a message board to join and a Parent Profiles directory for approved and waiting families to post their family profiles.
