The Adoptive Parent Summer Interview Series
The first interview is with Kelsey Stewart, Author of The Best For You. Great questions reveal a little more about the author's life as a birth mother.

Maya's Journey Home receives Mom's Choice for Most Outstanding Children's Book.

Maya's Journey Home is a heartwarming story of Maya, panda bear living in an orphanage in China. She, along with her best friend, Elsa, learn about mommies and daddies. They both hope to be a part of a family someday. Will that day ever come for them? Then, all different kinds of bears come to take baby pandas home. Maya sees that love and families come in all different packages. This book is beautifully illustrated in watercolor paintings that give the story special meaning.

This book will not only appeal to children adopted from China but with all children because it teaches children that families don't have to look like to be family as long as there is love.

Maya's Journey Home can be purchased through Suitemates Publishing Company at www.suitematespublishing.com, you can also request personalize autograph copy.

A WONDERFUL new book for children who have been adopted and a great resource for parents. Get it for your family or for friends who have or are adopting.

NO one supported me like my mother. She was a remarkable woman who held me up when I was often down during my adoption process. I have been writing about her role as a granparent loosing her granchild and this chapter is about the birth of my daughter and my realazation of what my mother was loosing. I think she may have had it worse than me because not only was she dealing with her loss, but she had to watch her baby loose her child. She was my hero and I am loving telling her story....

Hi - I don't mean to tout my own work, but I am writing an adoption journal that according to comments, has been very helpful and inspirational to people. Their comments have certainly inspired me and renewed my faith in my ability to parent our much-loved but difficult, alcohol exposed son (adopted from Russia).

Please take a look if you're interested. And best to all - Mary

In the spring of 2007, shortly after I turned 50, I received a letter in the mail that began with, "Dear Katie, I am sure this letter is coming as a surprise to you. I recently initiated a private search to locate a daughter I surrendered for adoption in 1957. The search culminated in finding you. . ." Since then we have been on an amazing reunion journey. On the advice of friends we have published a book entitled Fifty Years in 13 Days. The reader is privy is to all our communications between the arrival of that letter and our first face-to-face meeting 13 days later. Some have described it as a "how to" of reunion; others say the message seems to be to let your heart lead the way. In any event, it is a wonderful read and can be purchased at our website www.wowpublishinggroup.com or on amazon.com
You will laugh, cry, and learn a little something along the way. I know you will

enjoy it!'
