Nice Julia! All those years of IF treatments, then the adoption process - whew! I had no idea when I started it would take so long to become a mom - 2.5 yrs of IF treatments, 5 miscarriages, now almost 2 yrs on waiting list. The only thing that keeps me going is that once I have my child it will be all worth it.

Hello All, My name is Denise - just joined this group today and we are hopeful adoptive parents - I lived in Chicago alittle over 15yrs and my Mom, Sister and Niece still lives there, so I think it would be great to find a match there because I travel to Chicago quite often. Our adoption will be my first child and I truly believe that I only want to adopt once and give all my love and attention to this child. I am alittle emotional because this has been a long hard road but I am strong and secure that it will happen for me. Wish you all the best!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to pass along some info for an event in November. Saturday November 6th at 10am at the Old School Forest Preserve in Libertyville there will be a Walk for Adoption. You can get more info here: walkforadoption.blogspot.com. If you're going to come, you need to register...but no worries, it is free. We just need to get a count for our permit.
November is National Adoption Month, please consider joining us to celebrate! :)

Hello everyone! My husband and I have been waiting for a baby to grace us for a year and a half now. We were recently connected to a birthmom and she decided not to place the baby. Although we were crushed, we continue praying and looking at the positives. My house is immaculate, as I clean and organize when I am stressed!

Hi all,
I have family that live in Jacksonville, Ill and would love to be chosen by a birth mom who lives out that way. Family get togethers would just mean bigger family get togethers :) I actually live in Idaho. We are hoping to adopt and complete our family with an open adoption. I am hoping to meet new people here and make friends :) I wish you all the very best in your adoption journey. Does anyone know of any grant or loan possiblities here in IL? We are only 3 months from our baby and are looking for options if we run a little short close to the end. Thanks!
