I just got word that our home study is finally done! So we'll be sending in our I800A soon. I hope CIS doesn't take 4 months to do ours. We really want our kids home by Christmas.

We actually do have a number to our Senator's office- a couple in our support group gave it to us when they had to go that route:) Luckily our problem was solved by our social worker...or so she tells us. I really hope she isn't blowing smoke about this. We did get our acceptance letter from USCIS the other day (second year, good grief) so I hope all affairs are in order. Thanks so much for responding though. Sometimes I feel really alone in a big sea of papers.....

What state are you in?
Different offices have different problems... you may have to get your senator or rep involved.
We had many problems with the Detroit office...it ultimately took our Rep 4 months to straighten out our problem...

My husband and I are having problems with USCIS. Has anyone else ever encountered this? We had to submit our I 800A paperwork twice this year (for renewal) before they accepted it, and now that we got our acceptance letter for biometric renewal, the paperwork they sent us is...yet again...wrong!! I just don't know how much plainer we can make our intentions. We are waiting for advice from our social worker, but does anyone else out there have any suggestions? Sometimes I feel like the people handling our paperwork are not even reading it or looking at it.

Llast week, my husband and I accepted the referral of Angelika (9) and Jarek (8) from Poland! We're officially "expecting!" A few months ago, I didn't even know that there were agencies in the US that worked with Poland. I lived in the Czech Republic for a year after college and fell in love with Czech and Slavic culture. We love the agency so far and could have our kids home by Christmas!

I'm an adoptive parent in process of adopting again from China though this time through the special needs program.
