My husband and I just visited friends of ours who just brought their second adopted child home...in 19 months.  Both adopted as infants, domestically.  Meanwhile, we have been waiting since Sept of 08 for a referral from the Philippines.  Today we decided to give it the rest of 2011, and if no referral by then....we're dropping out of the program.  It's a little sad, but also a little liberating, to know that one way or another, we won't have to deal with it forever.  I'm tired of waiting and doing paperwork, paying fees, and getting nothing out of it.  The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over...and expecting different results.  I feel like we're getting to that point over here.

Thanks for your feedback. I found their site. Hmm, we decided to adopt from Ukraine - In their pages are not do . But I will try to adopt a child from asian . I think I will contact them soon.

Hi Jamal,

We looked into Holt a few years ago (they are in Oregon), but decided to adopt from Taiwan, which Holt does not do... We have good friends who used Holt to adopt from China and I have a couple friends who were adopted from Korea through Holt. If you are interested in Korea, you don't need a dossier if you use Holt because they were the first agency to do Korean adoptions. I've heard they expanded to eastern Europe a few years ago....
