We just had a weekend of frustration for our son with Cerebral Palsy.  There are days we just have a pity party and declare "Cerebral Palsy Sucks! He is almos 11 years old and there are times he just needs these days to get it out so he can go on with his therapy and all he needs to do to continue to grow.

I just launched my new eBook "Shield: A Framework of Self-Care for Foster and
Adoptive Families". My hope is that it will provide help and encouragement to
those in all stages of adoption. For more information, please visit

Thank you so much for your support!

Hi, please let me know if I can help somehow. I did have few couples adopting HIV children, I think they are very special people. I can even offer some special fees for this kind of people.

Vanya is an 8 year old boy in Ukraine who is HIV+ waiting for a family! It is urgent that he find one that can commit to bringing him home, who is paper work ready- has home study complete and USCIS complete as well, before he is transferred from his orphanage to an institution! 15k has been raised to help bring this sweet boy home! Go here for more information!

For those not familiar with Reece's Rainbow, they are committed to raising adoption grants for children with special needs (Mainly Down Syndrome but others as well). They have $500,000 in grants! Each child has at least $1,000 grant, some $5,000 and as much as $10,000 grants!

Just popping by to say Hello.
We have had our precious daughter for almost 8 months now ,she is everything and more than we have ever dreamed of! Shaelynn (our daughter) turned 3 the end of August and is just like any child being born and raised in our country. She has adjusted so well and is a very smart little girl! We never did have any communication difficulties, it is truly amazing how a child is able to pick up on a new language so easily!
Her medical issue was Bilateral Nystagmus, it is a very minor eye twitch, we actually don't see it unless she is very tired. We have seen a specialist and she was not at all concerned about it and it doesn't appear that is is having any difficulties seeing. She does not need eye glases as of right now. We will be seeing the Doctor again in January 2011.
Just thought I would share a bit of our story and say that we are very pleased to have switched to "special needs" Shaelynn is such a blessing to our family!
