We live in Knoxville and adopted our son in Jan. 2007 from China. He was five then. It has been an amazing journey. There were a few issues in the beginning but I would do it again in an instant! Our son truly is blessing, and he is the sweetest child I have ever known.

Hi. I live in Knoxville and we adopted a 4 year old (through Omni Visions) a little over 3 years ago. What a joy. He was in foster care and fortunately he was available the same time that we finished our classes and all of the other "stuff". I feel so fortunate to have him and he has brought lots of happiness to complete our family (there were struggles, but most of the time, I can't remember them). I'd love to hear other adoptive parent's stories.

Cara, I live in Johnson City, which is about 90 miles east of Knoxville. So not really close to you, but we are in the process (actually just waiting) of newborn domestic adoption. We have been waiting now a little over 4 months. We are working with Harmony, a private lawyer, and searching on our own for a birth family.

Thus far we have had a few minor "leads," but nothing that has turned into a meeting or anything too exciting. So we wait!
