Comment by Mary Boyle on May 18, 2012 at 9:31pm Thanks for keeping us updated, Missy. Still sending good vibes to you and your little family. :)
Here's our link to our funding website if you are willing pass it around to people you know, or don't know for that matter. :)
Take care all!
We've been doing good. We're having a benefit dinner in early June that my inlaws are mostly throwing. I really hate going around asking for donations from the local businesses. I feel like we need money but it's not like we're starving or anything. So I have internal conflicts there. That and everytime I go out and get myself a chocolate malt drom DQ I'm thinking, I shouldn't be spending my money on this when people are giving me money. That $20 someone gave me shouldn't be covering my ice cream needs. But then again it's not like I eat ice cream every day. And our hope is that the $20 from everyone will add up to a significant amount so we can pay off our lawyer.
Baby is well, he was diagnosed with NF1 and we have an MRI, genetic testing and opthamology appointment next week. So that is disturbing as well.
But I am looking forward to Mother's Day for the first time in almost 8 years. And I hope and pray and feel for everyone who is still waiting. It sucks I know but it will happen, maybe not today or this week but it will happen!
And now I have to go because the stupid garbage truck woke up Jacob from his lovely nap! Blah!
They have been with us 6 months, I have gotten used to a messy house, and rushed meal making. We are SOOOO glad it is finally getting warm and we can start playing outside, we were getting a bit of cabin fever as well.
Comment by Starry Eyes on May 7, 2012 at 7:28pm congratulations Heather and hubby. 3 at once! I have two 5 year olds and another hopefully by summer in the 1 to 3 range. It's a busy time. I would highly recommend a housekeeper for the first little while and possibly a freezer full of ready to eat meals so that you can rest and spend time with all the little ones. Such a great time to start a family. Especially that age - you can be outside and moving about. I did my two in the late fall and they were both under 2... that was a lot of cabin fever.
We are adoping our two 2 year olds and our 3 year old in about five weeks through foster care. We still feel like the rug will be pulled out at anytime but we are super excited. It is strange processing that kids will be staying forever.

Comment by Starry Eyes on May 5, 2012 at 6:39am Good morning all. We are all doing well here. We have been reviewing profiles for the past few months and have come close to saying yes, but so far not quite there. I know that it's going to happen soon. We have a few children in our area coming up for placement and our SW has us on the radar for matches. Everyone are trying so hard to find us our third child. There are lots of sibling pairs and boys, but we are wanting a girl. Soon.
Kristen, I know that at adoption.com they often have these requestst and people in the know will private message about agencies, so it might be better to go underground with the question so you get all the information that your looking for.
Mary, hoping your tunnel shortens soon.
And Heather, what's up with you?
Comment by kristen murphy on May 5, 2012 at 3:52am I am looking for an adoption agency and/or a homestudy agency in NY for friends of mine who are starting on their adoption journey.
If there is anyone that you would/would not recommend please let me know.
Any help would be much appreciated.
thank you!
Comment by Mary Boyle on May 1, 2012 at 7:49am We're doing okay. We might have a light at the end of the tunnel, but it's too soon to tell if it's the actual end of the tunnel or a train. ;)
