Share a little about your adoption story
I was adopted at 3 months. I have the most amazing parents, but I felt as though something was missing. At 16, I read my adoption file and was able to make out a name. I also discovered that I had two older sisters. At 18, I found my biological mother living about four hours from where I grew up. The reunion did for me what I needed it to do; it showed me who I came from, where bits of my personality came from, and it gave me my sisters(one of my older sisters passed, but I've got two younger), which has proved to be the most important thing to me. My bio-mom wasn't what I expected. She's not a bad woman, but she's had a rough life. Everything I dislike in myself I see in her. I do not, nor will I ever, regret finding her. I visit on occassion, when schedules allow, and speak to my sisters via the internet rather regularly. I plan on trying to find my biological father in coming weeks. I also hope that if anyone needs to talk about anything or has any questions, etc., they can talk to me. I'm a good listener with practical advice. Luck, love & happiness to all with adoption on their minds and in their hearts. =)
