Share a little about your adoption story
We adopted our two baby daughters via the foster care system in Oklahoma. It was a very long process as we had them in our home for 2 1/2 years before FINALLY adopting in Sept. 2008. They are such blessings and I can't imagine life without them in it. We would like to adopt again in the near future, and are considering several options.
We are about to finalize the adoption of our girls little brother later this month. He is 2 1/2. We also have had a foster baby girl for 15 months now who will turn two in October. The "plan" is to reunite her with her birth mother in the very near future. Our house is crazy with 1, 2, 4 and 5 year olds!

We live in the village. We should start looking at files soon which I am excited about. I know that going from going from fostering to adopting the same kids is a longer process tha it should be. We will start looking at files shortly. I think we were told we could get a list of children available for adoption. I expect to get that email by the end of the week. I dont know anything about these adoption or group parties where you meet the children. Have you ever been to one?

We are not sure what to expect. We did foster. I keep hearting lots of things such as parties and whatnot. I have no idea when we will sit down with our caseworker to go over file or how that is done. Our boys went back home. I am hoping that things go smoothly. However, still not sure of the remaining process which should be normal at this point. We are keeping ourselves busy with a few things around the house. How are things going for you??

Hi Bobbie, Welcome to AD! Your girls are adorable...so glad the process is finally finalized! We are awaiting our finalization still with our adoption.
