Ok...this group IS for advertising! I know there are lots of people that would like to advertise, whether it's a book or an agency, a current special, etc. This is the place you are welcome to advertise without intruding on other boards!

While I totally agree with you about us adoptees needing to know who we are, this show seems a bizarre way to go about it.Why not campaign for open records and let everyone benefit from the work? While it may give the general public a better idea of…

I think the idea of the show is wonderful. It's nice to have "reality" shows that actually helped someone in need of help. Is it directed or scripted perfectly? No. Is the host ideal? Maybe not. Is there room for improvement? Yes. But I want to tell…

Think it's horrendous.

I find it appalling and won't watch it.Why make something so private so public? As if reunion isn't hard enough already.People are always asking me if I saw it, my reply is that my life is enough to deal with.

I dont like it. But then again, any families that are highlighted in reality TV makes me wonder. Jon and Kate comes to mind. they exploit people, and for that reason, and that reason alone I find the whole thing offensive on so many levels. as for…

Share a little about your adoption story
My passion for adoption began when I was a twelve-year old girl when missionaries from Africa visited her church with their adopted daughter. This sparked an interest in adoption and planted a seed for international adoption that was watered and nurtured for twenty years. My husband Paul and I have three beautiful biological children and three Asian angels through the miracle of adoption. I followed the dream God gave me to adopt and now I speak on behalf of the orphan through adoption awareness seminars, adoption education events, newspaper interviews, adoption support group meetings and adoptive family play dates. I am the coordinator for my church's developing adoption ministry. I work for Dillon International, as their Adoptive Family Outreach Coordinator. I am excited about every opportunity to share the adoption miracles that God has done in my family as well as spreading the message of God's love and compassion for orphans. I pray that everyone will become actively involved in reaching out to orphans in whatever way God calls them to.

"Find My Family" TV Show

ABC’S "FIND MY FAMILY"…
What do you think about this TV show? I have mixed feelings and emotions about it. There is a lot of terminology they use that bothers me. This week on Dillon’s blog, I addressed the issue of POSITIVE vs. NEGATIVE ADOPTION LANGUAGE. Check it out and let me know what you think. www.dillonadopt.blogspot.com
