Share a little about your adoption story: We adopted our second child (our daughter) in an open, transracial domestic adoption. I am active in promoting openness in adoption and adoption reform.

As an adoptee of a very closed and secretive adoption I can attest to the damage that closed adoptions cause. We adopted with a semi open adoption but have found that the birth family isn't as interested in maintaining contact as they originally expressed.
