It is the hardest part of the fostering process... waiting... after all the build up from all the paperwork and the inspections and the homestudy visits... and then it's just waiting...
I have never waited long. My first referral came 1 day after I…
I have been fostering children for almost 2 years now and have had a total of 6 children ranging from 3 days old to 1 years old placed in my home (just 2 at a time). Currently I have custody of my little girl who has been with me since she was 2 months old (she is 19 months now). Although I am not able to adopt her (for court reasons) she is my daughter and I love her to peices.
Although I do not have any adopted children currently, should any of my kids in my home come up for adoption I would absolutely adopt. I am in the process of increasing my foster liscense and will be staying home with my kids- 4 of them- in the near future.
Adoption is amazing and beautiful and I feel that God has called me to be right where I am- even if I didn't think this was where I would be in my life!
