- My husband, Davin, and I have been in the Waiting Families book at Adoption Minnesota since May of 2008. We were chosen in August for a baby boy who was due in November; however, the birth mother changed her mind a few weeks before he was born. We were chosen again in February for a baby girl that was due in March. We spent her first day of life with her in our own hospital room- then the birth mother changed her mind. Both losses were difficult, but we believe things happen for a reason. We are still in touch with both birth mothers, and they and their children are doing wonderful.
May 28th, 2010 ETA: We have been matched with our birth mom for over a month. She lives in AZ and is due in a few short weeks! We can't wait to meet our baby boy!!!

A birth mother's decision- from an adoptive mother's point of view
