I am a birth mom that relinquished a child for adoption and could not conceive again. I ended up adopting the loves of my life from Guatemala ~ two gorgeous little girls. I've come full circle!
I also have a doll company about babies from around the world. The baby born in the USA was modeled after my birth daughter and the baby born in Guatemala was modeled after my oldest adopted daughter. You can view my website @ www.preciousbabydolls.com
I will be hosting a radio talk show on adoption starting in March and it will be called 'Adoption-Journey to Motherhood' and is a part of the 'Her Insight' series.

Obviously, I have total respect for a birth mom's (and dad's) right to decide for herself and her child. I had 6 months to change my mind and take my child back from the family that had brought her into their home ~ their lives. I couldn't do that.

My grief with relinquishing my child was long lived and I didn't think I could adopt because of the pain that I… Continue

We are currently in the process of adopting from Ethiopia. We have just finished our Home Study and are most of the way done with the Dossier :) We are now working on - how to pay for it all. If you have a chance check out my quilts www.journeyhomeadoptionquilts.com This is out main fund raiser for the adoption. The quilts are designed to show our adoption journey from birth country to forever home.

Where did you give birth to your daughter? I am still trying to find my birth mom. I was born June 7, 1983 in Kansas City, MO. Your dolls are cute! Thanks for adding me.

Mary Beth,
I'm in Alaska so AK time that equates to 5am to 6am.....I'm not sure I'm able to commit to those hours right now but we'll see. I'll also be out of state on March 1st visiting parents on the East Coast, perhaps I can work something out then since I will have my laptop with me....?

Mary Beth,

Hi. Could I recommend Amy Eldridge for your radio talk show? She is the founder of Love Without Boundaries and one of the kindest, most dedicated people that you will ever meet, concerning adoption and humanitarian work for children. Her e-mail address is amy.eldridge@lwbmail.com. Please let her know that I gave you her e-mail address.

Thanks,
Tracye

Hi Mary Beth,
I'd love to participate in the internet talk show if I can. When is it? I've never done anything like this so I may need some special instructions as to how to logon, etc. I'm fairly computer saavy so I can probably learn quickly!

Thanks!
