Two Newborns in Two Months: What Would You Do?

Are both birthmoms okay with you adopting both children? If so, and you're okay with essentially having twins, then I say go for it.

Wanting to hear from birthmothers and adoptive parents for advice

Hi Brandy. There are some amazing birthmoms on this site, and I think you'll find a great deal of feedback and support for whatever decision you make. :)

strange question about our new biracial baby

My full AA daughter looked quite fair when she was first born. Her hair was black, but very straight unless it was wet, then it would curl. We were a little confused. In a very short while, her compl…

Share a little about your adoption story
My dad is adopted, so adoption is just a part of life for me. Bringing our family together through the miracle of adoption seems a very natural thing to us. Adoption is a legacy of love I feel so honored to share with my dad.

Andy and I have been married for eleven years. We have two amazing kids who are both adopted. We feel so blessed to be their parents! Nate is seven and Lizzie is four. They are happy, energetic kids who keep us on our toes! We have a lot of fun together, and our house is filled with laughter.

We are waiting and hoping for our third child through adoption. We are open to any race or gender, and would even love to adopt multiples!

Hey Mary thanks so much. I did actually see that listed on heybobo but there are a few things that make it not work for us. Thanks for thinking of me :)

Sorry, didn't mean to ditch you in chat before! I totally agree. Scammers need to get their own life and stop praying on innocent hopeful women. Don't they realize we can see right through them and their games now?

Legacy

I've been thinking a lot about legacies. What kind of legacy I want my kids to have, and what kind of legacy my parents gave me. Maybe that's because my mom passed away in April and I've realized what a great legacy she's left me. My mom and I were one of "those" mother-daughter duos. We were best friends, ever since I can remember. She was a tiny lady--just 5 feet tall, but she was a force of nature; her nickname was "Zippy", and boy did she live up to it! My mom loved her family above all othe… Continue

"A better Mother"

A friend of mine posted this on another forum. I love the message it has, and how accurately in conveys the feelings of an adoptive mother...

There are women that become mothers without effort, without
thought, without patience or loss and though they are good mothers and
love their children, I know that I will be better.
