I was adopted at birth in Beverly Hills Ca. I was told that my birth parents were 30 and flew from Chicago to Beverly Hills to give me up for adoption. I have struggled all my life to fit in and desperately want to meet them or at least get some information about them. I never really looked like anyone in my adoptive family and was never like my parents, so I just want to know if my birth family looks or acts like I do. I am 27 years old now and I think I have gotten to a point in my life where I am able to handle getting to know my birth family.

Megan, I'm pretty sure you can order directly from the website: www.sherrieeldridge.com
I was profoundly impacted with empathy and a "broken heart" for my newly adopted children, for what Jeffery (age 9) already feels, and what Jaycie (age 3) will eventually have to face concerning her birth mother. In this case, drug addiction led to severe neglect and abuse, so Jeff has lots of anger. But in your case, you never know.... but you HAVE to know, so to speak! I pray God's blessings upon your search, for healing, peace, a sense of "belonging", and finding the missing pieces of your puzzle. Becky
Hi, Megan. I so identify with your feelings! Millions of others feel the same way, and I hope that you find your birth parents!! I HIGHLY recommend this book (and others) by best-selling adoption author, Sherrie Eldridge (www.sherrieeldridge.com) called "Questions Adoptees Are Asking" . I just finished it and it was SO wonderful and helpful-- it would be PERFECT to help you and those who love you to understand, educate, heal, and FIND your birth parents. God bless!
