- I was born in 1978 in the middle of a war in Nicaragua.Adopted by a white couple in Wisconsin. I love my adoptive parents very much and came to terms with it many years ago but I still wonder how my biological parents were. Not sure I want to meet them or know them personally..but want to know how they were and what I can find out about them.

Hello, I was also adopted but I wasn't born in Nicaragua. My father was and he fled the country during that time. He was from Managua. Do you know what city you were born in? I've met that side of my birth family and they still have lots of family down there. Maybe they know who you can contact down there.
