For AA or Biracial Couples. Urgent situation

Dear Friends,

Please help us identify a forever family for an African American healthy baby girl recently born in NYS. Her birth mother and father desire to immediately make an adoption plan and to place this baby girl with a two parent heterosexual married couple who are African American or possibly an interracial couple. This birth mother has already viewed Caucasian couples who have adopted Black and Biracial children and she is not interested in considering such families. She also will not consider gay or lesbian couples. If you are an African American or interracial couple or know of such a couple, please immediately contact Adoption STAR with your interest.

The following requirements must be met:

1. THE ONLY QUALIFIED COUPLES will be Black or Interracial heterosexual couples.

2. MUST have an approved home study less than 12 months old and conducted by a licensed/authorized agency in their state.

3. MUST have a profile to immediately share with the birth mother that includes a letter introducing themselves with several pages of photos of themselves, their extended family and friends, and home, etc

4. MUST be open to sharing photos and letter through the agenc

y with the infant's birth parents and consider visiting with the birth parents and their two children up to two times per year.

5. FEES involved: $350.00 registration fee; Placement fee is sliding scale based on couple's combined gross income and begins at $14,000 to $21,500. Placement fee can be discussed with the director personally. Legal fees for birth mother will be approximately $500 - $600. Agency legal fees will be approximately $1,000 - $1,900. If applicants reside in NYS, FL or OH post placement fees apply otherwise applicant is required to obtain post placement services through a licensed adoption agency in their home state. Post placement administration fee of $350 will apply.
