One year--Home study Renewal Time
It has been a year, and we are in the process of renewing our home study. I can't believe it's been a whole year since we started this journey already. I'd love to hear from you about advice to keep the anticipation in this journey. We were on fire last year! But it seems like it just isn't what it used to be. We've had two disappointments during this last year. Anticipation, but then frustration. It wasn't meant to be. I wish each of the situations had worked out, and unfortunately, one ended in miscarriage, which is absolutely horrible--especially for the birth mother. I understand that kind of loss. I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone. Any advice you have would be great. Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you, Whitney. I am kind of at that place, too. I used to jump up every day and night to check my e-mail, just sure that there would be a response to our on-line profile, but I'm getting to be more relaxed about that. I'm sure it will get easier. I just still wish the time would be right, but I don't have control of that either. :-)

Hi! We just renewed for the second time. I couldn't believe it either. This year has been much differnet than last. Very quiet. We have finally accepted the fact that we are not in charge. We are at peace with where we are. Not eveyday is peaceful, but most. I don't even jump at the phone ringing. The thoughts and feelings are always there, but they are not on my sleeve anymore. What I am trying to say is that the wait gets easier. Much easier.
