"Kevin, thank you for the link. You have every right to be angry. What blatant discrimination! Adoptees should have every right to their Original Birth Certificates."

"To me _a_ ghetto isn't necessarily about Blacks (the original term comes from the places Jews were forced to live in Europe), but saying "that's so ghetto" seems to me to usually be about Blacks. I think it would offend me. I…"

Andrea Webster replied to Barbara Giordano's discussion Is There a Double Standard with Michael Jackson's Kids
"I do think there is a double standard. And it is sad, because I think Black people (on average, generalizing here) know a lot more about White people than the other way around. They get used to code switching and certainly they are aware of race as…"

Andrea Webster commented on MedicalMommas1's blog post My International Adoption Journey: questions of nature vs. nurture
"What interesting thoughts. From my usnderstanding of the science, most of base personality is inborn. That doesn't mean it is inherited exactly, because often you will see children born into the same family have very different personalities. It…"

We adopted our daughter from China at a stated age of 14 months in 2004. She had lived in a foster family from a stated age of, we were told, 5 weeks, until the day we met her. She misses them and we hope to reconnect with them. I would support my daughter in searching for her first family as well. I am very much for open records for adoptees.
