- After having such a negative experience after being reunited with my birthmom, I was inspired to write a true account of my life as an adopted individual in my new memoir, The Sound Hope, with the aim of raising
awareness of civil rights of adoptees and to vividly show how adoptees are treated when they decide they want a reunion. My hope is that my story will instigate reform in the current laws pertaining to adoptee records and that all members in the adoption triad will put the emotional needs of the adoptee first and formost.
