I know the boy was only eight, but I thought I'd ask this group if they had any American sources for the child returned on a plane to Russia by his adoptive mom? I can only find the Russian version... http://en.rian.ru/world/20100408/158488040.html

Adopted our daughter Yana in 2008, five weeks later her brother went into the same orphanage that I had gotten Yana from. We returned to adopt him in 2009. I leave a piece of my heart with the children left behind each time.

Return to the Past

In May, 2009, my husband, daughter (adopted 16 months earlier from Ukraine) and myself left on an incredible journey to adopt my daughter's brother, Koyla. We discovered that Koyla went into the Berdyansk Orphanage about 5 weeks after our daughter, Yana, left the orphanage. When she left she thought she had to cut relationships in her past. She thought that to have a new family she would have to forget the old. We did not know that such wonderful people existed in Yana's past. We did recognize t… Continue

Hi Fran. Thank you for you kind words. I can't believe we have 4 small children either! For our second adoption, I felt that it in order to make ourselves as "marketable" as possible we "upped" our number to three. Needless to say within the first five minutes of our SDA appointment, I knew we were coming home with 3 more! The woman who shows files, was determined to give us three! We are thrilled with the Children we have. I recall following your storie(s) of adoption and the ups and downs of your journey(ies). I am so happy for you in your most recent adoption of your son! Good to see you here!
