- My husband and I have been married for 5 years. We have a beautiful 3 year old little boy. We had our second child, a boy, last summer who died shortly after birth. I am no longer able to have anymore children and that is why we have chosen to adopt. Losing Carter has been extremely difficult and has made us realize even more how much our family means to us. we want another child to love and add to our family. We want our son to grow up knowing the love of a sibling. We feel that everything happens for a reason and that God has lead us on this path to adopt because their is a baby out there meant to be a part of our family.
